I would like to connect the health class to the world and kind of also connecting to my life. A lot of people that i know are not really comfortable about talking about sex ed. Not many of us are because we are still very young, I know I'm not but hey we all have to go through it sometime in our life because if we don't know any of that stuff they we could probably be getting ourselves into some problems in the future. Anyways.. Kids are not comfortable with that kind of stuff. That is why we are all so quite and don't ask questions all that much and I think some people may feel violated in a way because they show picture of your gender. I know sometimes I feel uncomfortable with having to sit through it but at least I am getting the knowledge that I need about it. So don't stress out if you haven't gone to that point in your life where you are talking about that stuff. Just relax and listen. Some people tell me that sometimes when a teacher has called on you to answer a question about that and your just to embarrassed to say what you really want to say because your afraid that everyone is going to laugh at you in a sense. Some peoples minds just think that way but no worries. Just pay attention and listen and if your not comfortable with answering that question then you should probably tell the teacher that.

This is a very strong connection, Amber. I can't decide how your class feels about having to take Sex Ed-- some of you won't stop asking when Mr. Agreste is going to teach it!! I can't help but think that it might be one of those things that you all joke about and are kind of curious about...but when the time comes to sit in class and talk about it, everyone is going to feel awkward and uncomfortable (just like you say in your post).
I think your advice to just sit back and listen with an open mind is really good advice....and to say, "I can't answer that question because it weirds me out" is even better advice.
